- Cancel at least 48 hours before class for a full refund. No refunds after that, or for no-shows.
- If we cancel or reschedule a class, you choose a new date or a full refund.
- Bring a charged laptop or tablet. The class is educational, not professional advice.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service apply when you register for or attend an AI Made Practical workshop offered by Applied Tech Works, LLC ("we," "us"). By registering, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Registration
You must be at least 18 years old to register. You agree to give accurate information. Your registration is confirmed only when payment is complete and you receive a confirmation email. Each ticket admits the named attendee. To change the name on a ticket, contact us before class.
3. Price and payment
The price per seat is shown on the website and at checkout, in US dollars. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the total shown at checkout.
4. Cancellations and refunds
- Cancel early for a full refund. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the class start time, using the link in your confirmation email, you'll receive a full refund to your original payment method. Refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days. Your seat is then offered to people on the waitlist.
- No refunds after the deadline. Cancellations after the deadline, and no-shows, are not refunded.
- Your policy is locked in. The cancellation window shown when you purchased applies to your registration, even if we change our policy later.
- Emergencies. If something serious comes up, contact us. Any exception is at our discretion.
5. Group bookings
If you buy seats for others, you confirm that each guest agreed to attend and to let you share their name, email and phone number with us. You're responsible for the booking, and cancellation through your link cancels and refunds all seats in the order. Each guest receives their own ticket and must follow these terms.
6. Waitlist
Joining the waitlist doesn't reserve a seat. When a seat opens, we email everyone on the waitlist, and the seat goes to whoever registers first.
7. If we change or cancel a class
We may need to reschedule or cancel a class, for example because of illness, weather or low enrollment. If that happens, we'll notify you as early as we can and you can move to another date or receive a full refund. We're not responsible for travel or other costs you incur.
8. Attending the class
- Bring your own laptop, tablet or compatible device, charged and able to run AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrival doesn't extend the class or qualify for a refund.
- Be respectful of the host, other attendees and the venue. We may ask anyone who is disruptive or unsafe to leave, without a refund.
- You're responsible for your personal belongings and your device.
9. Educational content only
The workshop is for general education. It isn't legal, financial, tax, cybersecurity or other professional advice. AI tools can produce inaccurate results, so check anything important before relying on it. AI tools are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, and you're responsible for how you use them and for what information you enter into them.
10. Class materials
Class materials, slides and examples are owned by us and provided for your personal use. Please don't record the class, or copy, share or resell the materials, without our written permission.
11. Referrals
When you use "Bring a friend," only invite people you know who would welcome the invitation. We send your friend one email on your behalf.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a workshop is limited to the amount you paid for that registration. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you registered applies to that registration.
